Scott F Jenkins is a contemporary Scottish landscape artist whose practice explores the emotional and atmospheric dimensions of nature. Rooted in tradition and reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, his paintings examine the intersections of land, water and light — capturing where the landscape evokes both awe and introspection.

Based in Central Scotland, His work draws inspiration from time spent immersed in the landscape, often wild camping and sketching in solitude.. These immersive experiences inform a body of work that responds not just to place, but to the shifting moods and sensory impressions that define it. His interest lies in the sublime — expansive skies, sudden transformations in light, and the vast, unpeopled spaces that stir something internal and unresolved.

Jenkins’ paintings are characterised by expressive brushwork and a sensitivity to the transient qualities of light. His works distil a psychological and emotional essence — the stillness before a storm, the melancholy of retreating light, the grandeur of isolation.

Exhibited across Scotland and held in private collections internationally, his paintings invite viewers into a contemplative dialogue with the land as a space of emotional and existential depth.
